“The brilliant Open City Documentary Festival is returning for another year from June 21-24, with all films playing either at venues in University College London or – new for the festival’s second year – in a Cinema Tent in Torrington Square in Bloomsbury. The festival will play more than 100 documentaries from around the world, with a leaning towards films about real life and people and places whose stories are rarely told. There’ll also be a special masterclass with French filmmaker Nicolas Philibert (‘Etre et Avoir’, ‘Nenette’), who is heading up the festival’s main jury.”
